Nha Belha is a craft beer created for Beericeira, the Ericeira Craft Beer Festival. Developed as a local Pale Ale, it reflects the laid-back and authentic spirit of the village. “Nha Belha” is a traditional local expression meaning “old friend,” a name that captures the sense of familiarity and community found in Ericeira.
The Challenge
The goal was to translate the essence of Ericeira into a visual identity. A place defined by its cobbled streets, strong connection to the sea, and daily rituals shared between locals. The identity needed to feel familiar, local, and deeply connected to the village’s character.
The Solution
The visual identity draws from some of Ericeira’s most recognizable elements. The “Ouriço” and the sunset over the Atlantic form the core of the main graphic, referencing both local cuisine and the coastal landscape. Supporting elements include the iconic blue stripe seen on traditional houses and a geometric typography inspired by the lettering found on local fishing boats.
